Spring is here and the pavement is calling. Whether you're dusting off your board after a long winter or building a fresh setup from scratch, our staff has been putting in the work to figure out what's actually worth riding right now. Here's the short list.

The Shoes

Footwear is where it starts. You can have the best deck in the shop, but if your shoes are blown out, nothing feels right.

Nike SB Dunk Low Pro — A classic for a reason. The cupsole construction gives you board feel without sacrificing durability, and the colorways we have in right now are clean. If you want a shoe that skates as good as it looks, this is it.

Vans Skate Curren Caples — Curren's pro model is built for technical skating. Low-profile, grippy, and the Crepe Green/Gum colorway has been turning heads in the shop. Vans Skate construction means these hold up longer than your average pair.

New Balance Numeric 306 Cup Foy — The 306 is having a moment and for good reason. The Cup Foy is a cupsole version of Jamie Foy's signature model — bomber construction, great impact protection, and it comes in three colorways we're stoked on right now.

The Deck

Real Ishod Cerberus DBX – 8.38 — Ishod is one of the best skaters alive and this deck reflects that. The 8.38 width is a versatile size that works for street and park, and Real's construction is as consistent as it gets. If you're looking for one deck to do everything, this is it.

The Trucks

Independent Stage 11 Hollow Silver Standard — There's a reason Independent has been the truck of choice for decades. The Stage 11 geometry is dialed, the hollow construction keeps weight down, and they come in every size you need — 139, 144, 149, 159, 169. Match your truck width to your deck and you're set.

The Wheels

Spitfire Formula Four — We've got two Formula Four options in right now and both are worth your attention. The T-Funk 97A Radial Full is a harder wheel built for smooth surfaces and speed — great for park or freshly paved spots. The F4 101 Conical Full in Red Print is as hard as it gets, built for street skating where you need a wheel that slides clean and doesn't flat spot.

The Apparel

You don't need to overthink it. The 7B Service Hoodie and 7B Anarchy Hoodie are the go-to layering pieces for spring sessions when the morning is cold and the afternoon is warm. The 7B Service Ranger Tee is the warm-weather staple, and the 7B X Autumn Mini Stripe Beanie is still getting use on those chilly Sandpoint mornings.
