The K2 Sky Pilot is Sage Kotsenburg's pro model — designed from the ground up for pillow lines, forested chutes, and the kind of technical natural terrain where you're reading the mountain in real time, not just pointing it. The concept was simple: a board that pivots freely, releases the tail on demand, and lets the rider follow the contours of whatever is in front of them. After multiple proto rounds and a lot of time spent in the trees, this is what they landed on.

The Sky Pilot rides slightly wider than standard with a medium flex that doesn't fight you. K2's 3DContour tip and tail pull the contact points off the snow for effortless pivoting in deeper conditions, while the Carbon Y-Beam adds tail snap and sends energy forward to the nose without locking up the board's torsional flex. It's a setup that rewards committed riding — the more you lean into it, the more it gives back. Sized from 148 to 163, and designed to be ridden 3–5cm shorter than your normal length thanks to Volume Shift™.
